I'm just posting this message to see the following:

There are now two chipsets for the processor in the BN, the VR serias,
and
the Xscale series.
The Xscale chipset is the same one used in the PACMate.

There looks to be two choices in OS at this point. (this is a
understatement
since there are isues with both) It looks like a port of NetBSD is
available
for both chipsets.
There is a linux port for the Xscale processor that seems to be
active.

Just a brief for now.
